About CASPR
CASPR, the Center for Addiction Science, Policy, and Research, is a non-profit organization dedicated to reducing the global burden of addiction through science-based interventions focused on scale. We’re working to steer resources into the most promising treatments, advance large-scale clinical trials, influence policy, and change the conversation around addiction.
We are currently focused on the potential of GLP-1RA medications to reduce addictive drive and use across substances. GLP-1s have shown broad and strong effects on craving and consumption in Phase 2 trials and patient health record studies and are vastly more appealing to patients than existing medications for substance use disorder.
We are also developing several policy proposals for federal legislation to advance breakthroughs in addiction medicine.
