While I have you, I made a quick and rough spreadsheet of US Substance Use Disorder Medication Adoption Rates. The top line number is that only about 3.2% substance use disorder cases are treated with medicine. I will be writing more about this soon, as part of the argument we’ve been building that in order to impact addiction at scale, we need new medications that will be much more popular with patients, like GLP-1s and suzetrigine, as well as dramatically expanded funding for research and development.
