The irony here is that it has a patent. NAD+ via IV works better than ozempic, with no side effects and a much longer history of use (since the 1960s) and no recidivism, yet I don’t hear any trumpets for it…
NAD+ IV is a very interesting treatment, but IVs are not easy to scale as an intervention. Also my understanding is that it potentially helps with withdrawal symptoms but not necessarily for ongoing use and cravings. I totally agree that our medical system disincentivizes research on non-patented interventions-- it's a huge problem.
